Hovhannes Shiraz Memorial House-museum
In 1983, the house-museum of the famous writer Hovhannes Shiraz was founded. It is included in the list of immovable monuments of history and culture of Gyumri.
That house was dedicated to the poet in 1983, but Shiraz did not live in that house. Unfortunately, he died after a year. The house belonged to a rich man, later people who lost their shelter after the 1988 earthquake lived there. Through many efforts, the house is improved over the years and becomes a museum.
Personal belongings, manuscripts and printed works of Hovhannes Shiraz are among the samples of the museum.
The house has 6 rooms. The first room tells about the poet's childhood, the next one is furnished as it was during the poet's time. The other rooms contain Shiraz's creative works, paintings, personal belongings, etc.
The museum is always ready to receive guests and tell about the poet's life and works.
